Black Is A pain in the A$$

WoW.. Ok I have 4 coats of Z5 on it.. Today aftyer I washed my car I noticed my paint had lil whitish spots on it and have swirl marks starting.. I do everything by the book of good car keeping. I have all white towals 100% cot.. they are always clean.. I use a 100% mitt.. Zanio car wash.. now I guess my only thing to do is start clay baring and start replacing the wax.. How do you get the wax off?? I know you can clay bar to deep clean will this work for what I need? Is there any special way to use this clay bar?

Any help would be great..

Black sucks when it's not cooperating... but it blows everything out of the water when it is.

My bumper/hood was just painted, so no waxing for me. Imagine my horror when I found a bug splayed on my bumper tonight. Do I use bug-off? Can I use a bug- sponge on the area? Ahhh! Damned new paint jobs!

sure, even better yet, just soak the little bugger with water, let him soak abit and bite him off, chew him up and swallow.

or just pull him off with a paper towel or cotton towel.

Re: Black Is A pain in the A$$

I have a black and two silver cars and been cleaning cars for years. First I wouldn't use a mitt for washing it can trap dirt and scratch the paint. I use a 100% Boar's Hair Car Wash Brush for washing and find it safer to use than a mitt.
I don't care what they say about 100% cotton towels, but since I tried microfibre towels I would never dry or remove wax with anything else. Good luck!!

I just did the whole Zaino gimmick and all my fine scatches and swirl marks are gone. It's amazing how much deeper the black looks now.

This is the info that I need.. Cause every week when I was my car I want to strip the wax from 1 part of the car and wax it the 3 recomended times.. Then the next week do a diff part so I dont over welm myself and so I can realy consintrait on I part at a time..

I think Dawn can strip out the zaino wax. They did state washing the bottles of wax with ZFX in it with Dawn soap to clean the bottles. Why can't Dawn strip the zaino wax from the car?

This is a question for the initial poster. Did you wax using the back and forth motion (applying wax back and forth and buffing back and forth) no circular motions. Do you wash back and forth? You want to eliminate the circular motion technique it's not helping the swirls. Also what helps for me is to use ZFX with Z-5 and follow up with z-2 and z-6 afterwards.

What exactly IS Zaino???

Hey guys, new G35 owner and noob to the board

thanks for all the great info. This is just my first day on here and I'm already stoked.

TrentaCinque, what exactly is the Zaino, and where can I get it?

I have about $110 worth of Zymol products on the way (HD Cleanse, Japon wax, Seal, etc.). Has anyone here ever tried Zymol, not just the cheap stuff they sell at AutoZone?

I work with a dude who has a Z3 M Roadster, he uses Zymol, and his 4 yr. old car looks like he just drove it out of the showroom.

Thanks,
-Alan

I just call mine "da g". Hey, it amuses me, okay?

Re: Black Is A pain in the A$$

Thanks for this thread, especially the title. I really like black for the sedan, but my car is not garaged and I can't black clean enough for the stylish appearance it deserves. Got the Garnet Red instead and it looks great.
