Brushless Car Wash

Just wondering... do you guys ever gp to those brushless car washes where the guys spray down your wheels etc and then you go into that giant machine etc etc, its like 15 bux here in seattle.... I would like to wash my car by hand, but I have to park it outside and all this damn SAP and POLLEN gets all over it, I have to wash it like every 3 days to keep it clean.... so im lazy and am wondering what you guys think :0) Oh yea, also, since you have to sit your wheels in a track during the wash, can it scrape the wheels up? My front wheels are already rashed thanks to the guys wife that I bought it from... :0(

That seems like a lot for a wash. I never liked the brushless washes since they don't get off all the dirt. In your case, it's probably better than no wash at all. The pollen should just spray off, but you'll want to make sure the sap comes off so it doesn't eat your paint. Does it get all the sap off?

Give it a good hand wash once in a while, otherwise if you have trouble keeping it clean just take it to a touchless wash at a gas station and wipe it down with a towel afterwards and clean anything the wash didn't get.

Those brushless car washes aren't going to remove SAP. Even the ones with brushes won't take off SAP.

Don't use car washes with tracks for your wheels. Not good as they will ruin the wheels. If you are going to use a touchless wash, find one that is trackless.

Car washes..............?

Even if you can find a hand wash the main problem
is the towels they use and the way their used. They
think nothing of droping a towel on the ground and
continue using it on your cars finish. Or they'll wipe
the top of your car with the same towel used on the
bottom. Have you ever considered a mobil detailer
and using a car cover? If I lived in Seattle I don't
know wtf I'd do!

especially on a dark car make sure they use a brush made of hog hair. we use that at the dealership and it doesn't scratch any car especially dark colored vehicles. use a nice shammy too -- the california wiper blade leaves micro scratches after long term use
