cam i buy just the box?

 

The woofer is designed to work in this particular box. But if you have the same sub already I guess it would make sense. I'll let the box go without the sub for $200.

I'm currently running a 12" on a 1000 watt kicker amp. Would this work with that amp?

 

What is the model number for the amp and I will research it to make sure it's not too much power.

 

Its a ZX1000.1

 

Looks like that amp puts out 500w continuous at 4 ohms. This box is recommended for 300w continuous. Not going to be playing too long with that amp hooked up to it. The amp it was originally mated to was the JL Audio 250/1.
