Hey guys...well I have the Dark G Cloud hovering over me once again....looks like my window motor has gone out YET again....I'm def over warranty based on mileage but not sure if the last replacement may still be covered. Plus, not sure if anyone knows someone at either dealer that may actually help me out due to the many window motor replacements I went through.

Any help would be much appreciated....otherwise there goes more money and JD trying to fix the window on his own because I'm not about to be raped on a window motor job....

Window motors are easy to change if they won't warranty it!

I did my maxima's in 30 mins. The only time consuming part is the getting to some of the bolts. Either way, it's a cake walk.

Definitely do it yourself and get Chris's help if you can. Hell, I'll even try to get out and help you if I can, though I've never done it on a Nissan product before (mostly on Honda Accords though).

If you go to Grubbs just ask for Danesha Howeth and tell her I sent you. I don't know that there will be much of a "hook up" per se, but she has never let me down. Don't forget to mention your G35 club discount, good for 10% off. This would be why it's best to do it yourself. Good luck man.

Hopefully everyone here knows that you get wonderful discounts if you go to Courtesy Nissan and you tell them you're with DNE.

Sounds good man..hopefully you can get a price break on the motor; I wouldn't mind doing the job myself..always more rewarding when you work on your own car anyways...Just ridiculous at the markups the dealers do. Bet da#$% motor isn't even worth $100 bucks...

When my maxima window motor went out, Courtesy wanted an arm and a leg and I have my own personal employee discount!

I just said screw it and bought one from O'Rielly's. Has been good ever since! Sad part is, it was the rubber piece within the motor that broke! Ghey!

i had a small plastic piece break in my maxima as well (both rear doors went out eventually), I changed them both myself with minimal tools, it was pretty easy, the parts are probably cheaper on that car but i think i paid something in the range of 150-175 for a whole new assembly
