Well I keep hearing that the 911 has problems down the line. I would love to purchase a 911 but dont want to put all that money down and then have it break down 2 years later. NAWIMEEN!!!
Which year model of the 911 Turbo are you talking about? My dad has a 996 Turbo that he paid $125,000 for a couple of years ago.
The 911 Turbo will trash anything in it's price range. It's got the looks, performance, etc. The whole package.
However, 911 Turbo vs. G35 (with all the mods in the world) are still in completely different worlds.
If you have the money, it's no contest and not even worth discussing.
The 911 Turbo (the ones made in the past 4-5 years) have crap-your-pants speed. I drive it all of the time.
My dad's has 420hp (the 997's have more). Yes, there are boosted G35s that have around that type of power, but it's all about power/weight ratio.
Again, the 996 Turbo or 997 Turbo will be better than anything the G35 can offer.
For what it's worth, he's had no problems with his car. Keep in mind though, trips for routine maintenance will be extremely expensive.
