Elections for New President/VP. Cast your ballot in here!

Being all patriotic and all, I think we should have a change in our political status of the club. I am not being rude or anything and I am sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings but if the current "president" does not presumably "own" a G or an infiniti, then a fresh new face should rise to the occasion and take charge. I know I have been away for awhile but I am back and it seems the club "life" has not changed. And honeslty, it really doesn't have to be designated postions but a more active community would be nice. I know we all might not want to go all out spending on our cars but we all have something in common and that is our G (infinti/nissan) whatever. Throw in beer barbeque and maybe some boobies and hell you got one good time. So who is with me?

I have been seeing a lot of new names popping up around here ... and for some reason the Club roll call thread got moved into the "Members Only" subforum which very few members seem to have access to. New members probably have no idea that it's there.

The latest addition had over 70 DFW G owners ... we need an email list!

Well not really because people come and go all the time. I was just thinking that some people might feel "intimidated" because maybe they don't even have one modification on their car so why should they even come out? I am trying to stir the pot and say "If you own a nissan/infiniti, you're cool with us so come on out and meet new people interested in cars too!"

And if you own a truck and first name starts with "Randy" then you need to stay at home and take care of your kids ahahahahahhah

Yeah there are a lot of lurkers on the forum, and I also feel like they don't participate b/c they lack mods.

I've been trying to get access to this member only forum for a while now, with no luck

I think it takes a certain person to want to come out to meets and such. Not everyone who lurks on a forum will be into that. Most people who want to come out to the meets will have some kind of rudimentary mods to the car, and that is part of why they want to look at the other similar cars in the community to compare, get ideas, hang out with similar minded people etc.

But I second TwoK4drSi's message to all: Own a G, come out and join us, mods or no mods I've been out to only 2 meets so far, this group of people rocks, no one should be intimidated at all. Once I got through the 'initiation beat down' at the first meet and left the hospital everyone has been great.

An election for officers must be held at a general meeting. If anyone is interested let me know.

I'm up for taking on a role.

I work out of the house so I have a little extra time to devote.

So do the polls open before or after the beer?

I'm always game for hanging out. Just don't schedule it on a race day and I'll come.
