I haven't heard oriental in a MINUTE.. you broke that out of the archives.

 

Technically speaking, all of middle east, Afghanistan, Pakistan, the whole Indian subcontinent, Mongolia, the Pacific islands are all part of the "Asia" continent. And technically, they are "Asian" as well.

So, when somebody says "Asian", why do most people assume its must be a person of Chinese/Korean/Japanese etc decent? I dont get it. I guess using "Oriental", makes it more clear, to me, that the person is of Chinese/Korean/Japanese etc decent.

Btw, I'm Asian, but not Chinese/Korean/Japanese etc decent.
