got a buddy facing DWI and he's got a lawyer handling up...how easy are they to fight?

 

not to easy. I fought one that I thought I would win. Did he blow? If he did not then it should be a good battle, and if the video is good then it should be a good battle. But if he blew, I wouldn't bother. It is just going to be a waste of money.

 

I saw a silver G on preston near stonebriar in frisco around 10:45 pm last night. Looked as if it was lowered, bright led lights, dropped with rims and super clean.

 

I believe he blew a .114 at around 150lbs. Video is good

 

ive had a dwi about 5 years ago (or so). it's standard when you receive the 1st one. 2yrs probation ($ every month), madd class ($), dwi classes ($), community service (if you blew=less hours, if you didnt=lots more hours). it really doesn't matter if you blow or not, most likely you will still be charged with a dwi. in my dwi class about 75% of them didn't blow and they still got charged with a dwi and had to pay more $. we had to tally up how much we will/would spend because of the dwi, i think mine was a little over 13k. others that didn't blow had or will spend over 21k. like i said, you dont really need to spend a lot of $ on an attorney because it's basically standard for your 1st. unless you're a millionaire that can afford a high stakes attorney.

btw John, haha....there will be no part out since my last court date will be on the 7th. most likely i'll be giving my car to my wife or mom. they will have the option to keep it or sell it and split the $.

oh i forgot, a bill/law passed when i got my dwi. you have to pay a surcharge every year of a little over 1k for the first 3years. will be a total of a little over 3k, but can pay monthly like everything else. from what my PO told me, if you fail to pay or pay on time your license will be suspended. the system, YOU GOTTA LOVE IT $$$$$

little known fact... if you have the option (i don't know the laws well enough) take a urine alcohol test which provides them the same information, however alcohol evaporates in urine, so swish it around a bit. there are positives to working in health care
