Anyone in Dallas area install Overlays

I found someone that said they'd do it but it's an established window tinting place and he said 65/hr and might take up to 2 hrs.. Didn't wanna pay that much for just overlays..

Is there anyone in the group that can do them or has had them done and can refer me to someone?

I don't mind paying, just not 130.. Worst come to worst, and I can't find anyone w/ experience for a reasonable price, I'll ATTEMPT to do them myself, just wanted to see if I could borrow someone's talents first.

Careful installing it yourself, I seen too many fails, which will result in another overlay purchase, and you'll still end up paying the shop $65 an hour, do it right the first time...

so that's really not overkill on the rate? Didn't know if that was decent.. Just sounded a bit high to me.. If that's the rate then so be it.

I've been rolling around for 2 weeks w/ my overlays in the original packing tube... LMAO.. Debating on whether to have ol' dude do them or not.. I just didn't know if that was decent pricing.. I'll prolly have him do them when I get back from FL.

I did my overlays on my black g. That's why I painted them on my white g. it was a lot of credit card scraping and heat gun action. pita

they were shot 2 part black 6 part clear. They come out looking pretty good. They still have a red tint to them which was the look i was going for.

so would you reccommend nightshades over using the overlay tint?

you can do the overlays...but IMO I would just pay the extra money for someone who has done it before..if they screw it up you get the money back....I tried installing my roof overlay on my car....screwed it up and I tried BAT's rear and creased the overlay so I had to scrap it...there is a shop in Frisco that does it...I also have another buddy who does it.

I will need to find his website again and post it up..
