1st RKC Megameet of this year - 3/23/09
First of all...
The firewheel meet is not done. This is my first choice on where to hold the Monday Night Car Meet. However, due to issues with the lights, the Garland PD Payroll and the Security at Firewheel, we are not able to have the meet there this week. It could possibly be weeks before that is settled.
In the mean-time, Joe McCullough at Prestige Ford went to Randall Reed himself, and we have a new home for the Monday Night GTG. I have been working on this with Joe, and have made a last minute decision to have the GTG this week because of the amount of phone calls and texts I have been getting.
The meet will be tonight, and each week until further notice, weather permitting,

The meet will be in a LARGE, WELL LIT, PRIVATE parking lot directly off of Shiloh Ave. The dealership is on two sides of the road, and this will be on the vacant "left side" behind the used cars building. The parking lot entry is DIRECTLY off of Garland Ave, and in FRONT of the wal-mart parking lot, altthough there is only one way in, or out.
The lot is 100% clean and VACANT for tonights car meet. Also, Monster Energy will once again be at the meet.
I am very sorry for the late notice. In my defense, I have been working on this issue and others very hard for days. Please make plans to attend if you can.

Yea, I did notice the lighting absolutely sucked last week. That will be a better spot for it, only one entrance/exit is gonna make traffic kinda crazy though. But we should def get a group together and roll out there
went to a meet up w/ some of the dudes from ricekillers (they meet at the sonic on FM 544/Murphy Road in Murphy if interested on Tuesdays around 7:30-8)... Anyway, they said the venue is going to stay at the Ford dealership (Firewheel wanted too much money to keep the lights on) and Colters is going to start BBQing there and selling "sammiches".. That the dealership is DETERMINED to keep us there, and that they're going to also be getting in a Dyno machine and doing 3 passes for like 70 bucks or something and tuning as well....

Oh well, I'm still up for heading out, though I really hate that area (used to work there). Of course, we are talkin about overrunning a Ricekiller meet with Infinitis... haha
