LED Amber Clock Lights

Since I've been putting my car back to stock'ish, I've been doing all kinds of maintenance and upkeep on the G. Just ordered 6 NeoWedge bulbs for the clock illumination. Should have them by next week. Let me know if anyone needs some, as I only need 2out of the 6.

Hey Will, you think you can save a couple for me? I can pick them up when I get to Dallas in June. My clock hasn't been lit up for about a year.

Let me know how much you want for them. Thanks.

I've installed the amber ones in my clock and they work pretty well.

The seat heater switch went out and I installed on both sides as well. I kept the light "condom" on the LED to dispurse the light.

Did you get the 4mm one? I ordered the 5mm and it was too big, so I have to return them for the 4mm.

Now I remember. I had to take out the LED off of the plastic base. Then I picked out the tiny bulb out of the old base. You just straighten out the leads and pull out the bulb. Then stuck the new LED into the old base and stuck the condom on. I just measured the ones I had laying around (I was trying different colors, and went with the stock amber), and they are 4mm.

The ones in the clock fit as is. The ones in the heat seater button you need to recycle the old base. Frankly, I don't know know why they went with a regular bulb in the button. There are two bulbs in the button, one is a regular bulb, the other is already an LED.

Oh okay...the ones I ordered come w/ a base already, so no need to re-wire and swap out the bulb condom. I don't think the bulb condom would fit onto the LED though, since it's quite a bit larger and square. We'll see when they arrive.

They're just amber like the OEM bulbs. nothing special...may be a tad brighter.
