.... glad they could get it all fitting.... they never did get my rear where i wanted it.... I need to get back there to have them fix some paint that is flaking but just haven't had time to make it back. I already spoke to Mike and he said he would take care of my paint issues so that is good... now to find time to make it back....

Can't wait to see the new look!

So was it a parts issue or body shop skill issue?

Dang man.. I felt so bad for your ride bro.. Makes me wonder if your car was altered in any way before you bought it.. Did'ja get the carfax?

I'm VERY glad that you were able to get those issues rectified.. It SUCKS NARDS to wait for as long as we all have for parts to have more fitment issues like that.. Did you have to come out of pocket more? Are you contacting Eric about the fitment issues to get some type of reimbursement? You should..

It was a parts issue, I had someone else I know totally unrelated to their shop go by and take a look at it and he said that the fitment was horrible too. They had to cut and reglass a few parts. The part that meets the hood being a half inch shorter on one side than another is an obvious manufacturing error, not sure how that would be a lack of skill of any body shop.

Twalls, ive been tryin to get in touch with him since this all came about. But hes harder to get ahold of than osama bin laden.....lol

And the shop managed to fit my first full bodykit from eric PERFECTLY, and for less than what certain "other" shops charge to paint and install two pieces. Stop hatin on the shop because you bought a bottom dollar kit mayne. If I buy somethin on ebay, I cant be mad if it turns out not to fit. You had the same kit as me, only difference was quality of the place we got our kits, and their resulting fitment. You dont like the shop I use, go use another one that charges ridiculous prices or use Drone who we've seen does great work. Im pretty sure if they didn't have skill the luxury dealerships in the area wouldnt send their cars their to be fixed....lol Many of you have seen my car before, were there any fitment issues or was the paint not matched perfectly?

I agree the sign of a good body shop is their ability to make something look good when the incoming product is perfect.... come on man... it is a body shop. They cracked ish, they didn't smooth out the bumper and they ended up charging me twice as much even without getting it right. Yes, they were less expensive than other shops (maybe, I didn't really call around as the work on your car was great so I thought the same would happen for mine). No, I didn't buy anything from ebay... and there were good reviews for the distributer I bought from. Why is it they were able to fix the fitment issues on your car but gave up on mine? I think you must have some sort of tie to this shop, and that is great because the do great work for you... just saying that others without that relationship should be sure of what they are getting into. Heck, they could have even told me the kit I got was a POS and that there would be no way to get it done... but they said they test fit it and everything was good to go.... Sorry for being a little bitter but it is going to take quite some time before I get the bad taste out of my mouth.

Again, I do wish you luck in your build, and yes, the prior build you had looked great. I do think the paint guy knows what he is doing... just the body work wasn't what I expected. The manager knows just what to say to make ya feel better about the situation, but in the end I got what I got from the shop and it wasn't what was expected. I would have gladly paid more if they could make me feel confident that the work would come out right.

haha... it's all good.... Just didn't want to be attacked for sharing my experience... For the life of me, I can't find where I am to blame for how my car came out. I should have been able to take a sketch to a bodyshop and if they tell me they can create it for $X, I should expect to pay close to that price and have a great product. Quality of kit doesn't really matter to me as that is why I took it to a body shop and not simply to a paint shop... Maco could have done it for less and just painted the ish... but I knew it would need some work, just thought the shop could take care of that....

Btw, Aaron, saw you had a KS rear for sell.... did you ever check fitment on it, is it good? That may resolve my bitterness.... How much work do you think it needs?

Its all good man, and your feelings are totally warranted. The whole situation was just very unfortunate. I personally have not fit it on my car, so I can't say for sure. But I am thinking about bringing it up to the shop today and seeing if they can throw it on my car so i can see. The guy said it was a klumzee bumper and that it fit great on his car. If your interested, I'll talk to my shop and see if they will spray it for you to make amends for everything, or youre welcome to take it wherever you want. I was just gonna test fit it so I know the fitment is good.
