so i found oil pooling under the coil pack, on the spark plug (#6 i think), so i closed it back up and took it in...
now grubb's says the oil catch can is "putting too much pressure on the crankshaft"
i call bs, but rather than argue with them and end up with pissed-off shoddy tech work under my hood, i'm just going to remove the can and take it too crest instead.
just thought i'd let everyone know, so you don't suffer the same inconvenience i have...
good day

UBER GHEY: I don't think I would describe it that way Jake but ohh k and op that does suck it has nothing to do with the catch can it's a noted problem with vq's sometimes the spark plug seal needs to be replace nothing for there big shop. Stealership is really the only way to describe them. I won't be back because I will be s/c I know what they would say now
. Good luck with crest, you could try Sewell they have been very nice to me there.

I took my car to Sewell to fix a window creaking noise. They fixed the window, but in the process scrapped my splash guards and left ketchup stains on the inside of the door. Originally Posted by Kirks06

They said they will replace them for free.Registered User
Good luck going to Crest. Infiniti dealership computer systems, I believe, are all linked. They'll most likely have record of your visit to Grubbs. I hope for your sake I'm wrong though, but the first time I took my '05 to Sewell after buying it last year, my VIN pulled every dealership visit and work done by the original owner in Wisconsin.

Don't bother taking your car into Crest. Those guys are idiots. They couldn't draw the picture on a connect the dots exercise if their life depended on it. I save myself the headaches and take it to Sewell.

I won't even get into all the details of the several terrible stories I can tell you about Grubbs Infiniti. Take your car to Sewell. Hands down best place in the DFW area. Yah Sysh has a post in here that doesn't suit well with my opinion, but they did say they would replace it for free.
I had a great time buying my car from Sewell and have always...ALWAYS been treated right when bringing my car in for body work or mechanical work.
Grubbs is a pile of sh*t imo. Their Nissan dealership is alright. Good experience buying my wife's Altima...bad experience dealing with the toolshed of a service rep.

if you DO end up going to Sewell, talk to James. he has worked with my car a few times and has definitely been completely honest and straight-forward with everything...you wont get better service anywhere else.
