Anyone here do the whole SeaFoam thing?

I just read a thread about SeaFoaming.
It sounds pretty interesting. Thinking about doing it. I've got about 51,000 Miles.

IF you do it....make sure you change the oil right after - thins it out if you suck that shiet in with the brake booster line.

how are you going to do it? half in the gas and half in the booster line?

Yeah I think that is what I'm going with. Half in the gas and half in the booster line.
I still have about 2,000 or so miles until I need to change the oil though. I'm going to check the pressure in my tires and try and find that other lug. Still not sure why the car is pulling so hard to the right. You think it was because of the car being let down on that side when we were letting it down? I have no idea.

no way..

-missing lug could be it (even though it was fine before) - but doubt it since theres at least 4 still...
-swapping the wheels so that the directional tires will be facing the right way could play a factor..

you saw me torque them...but I would check that first..make sure everything is nice and snug.. Tires/wheels are brand spank..We didnt touch the wheels EXCEPT to swap them.. we didnt touch ANYTHING else suspension wise..

Nah man, that should not cause the pull. I have the same jack as Jake, and I have done the same plenty times what Jake did, hehehe.
You guys swapped the tires, get an alignment done, see if that helps.

stonemalone, you havent swapped the rear wheels yet? I remember your tread being the wrong way. Try it, might be the simplest fix?!

Where can I go for a cheap alignment. I've never gotten one before. I'm looking at getting a front camber kit. That's the reason. I don't want to get one and then get the kit and then get another one. Thanks!

my vote goes to NTB grapevine - inground alignment rack - tell them your on Dallas Imports and you may still get a discount. - 5 yr is about 160-180 I forget...and Ive heard RAVE reviews about Dallas aligment.. you can check out the

"WHERE SHOULD I GO FOR" thread to check it out..

wow, then maybe you do need another alignment with the tires pointed correctly now? Let us know how it turns out. and do either get a lifetime or NTB's 5yr alignment deal. I have Firestone Lifetime and man I've been there 6 times for alignments in the past year all due to suspension/tire/wheel changes!

going back to the original topic...

i did a seafoam on my old '97 integra back when i had it. the one thing above all else that you need to be mindful of....do it in a well-ventilated area! i did mine 100% through the brake booster line and it definitely cleaned a lot out of it (car had over 100k miles on it). as you pour it into the line, white smoke will start coming out of the exhaust. that's just the beginning though...once you pour it all in, you will need to take a *ahem* spirited run in the car. THAT'S when it gets good! since you have a much lower mileage car than what i did, it might not be as significant on yours, but....more than likely, you will also let out a SHIET ton of smoke once you take off. it was freakin hilarious i have a crappy quality video that i uploaded to youtube back in the day....i'll see if i can find it.

ok, so one of my buddies was shooting this with my CRAPPY old point&shoot and he LOVES to talk, so if you don't want to watch 5 minutes of me pouring the seafoam in and him going nuts about how smoke is coming out of the exhaust, just skip to around the 5 minute mark to see the good stuff

goooood times!
