Picked up a shift **** today and tires yesterday. Been busy with work and traveling around with out any time to work on the car. Maybe tonight I will install the shift **** if my buddy does not pick up the car to mount my tires (Free labor means you have to work with their schedule

Well...I got it installed at like 1:30 am and went for a test drive. The shift **** was a some what of a pain to install but luckily with the help of my buddy and plenty of elbow grease / wrenches we were able to brake the stock shift **** loc-tite free with out damaging the stock shift ****. I am still getting use to it but kinda want a nice 460g weighted shift **** but for the price I can't be picky/choosey.

When I did mine, I think I just twisted it off and twisted the new one on lol. The shift boot was the tough part for me though

Oh trust me you will see installed pics just busy with work and had no chance to upload. If you want i can take multiple pictures in different angles and lighting. =) . One thing I did get slight bugged about was how freaking hot the **** was due to heat. The carbon fiber helps since only the aluminum was hot but only took couple minutes to cool down. I like the lower height of the **** but you feel more vibrations in the shift **** versus stock. Still verry happy about the price and when the time comes to upgrade. I will just throw it in wifeys car.

If you remove the shift fork from the car, taking off the **** is cake if it feels like its welded on.

Here are some pics of the installed shift **** for those who care. My butt dyno tells me the shift **** added 4.756WHP after the install. I think that is due to the Nismo sticker but not 100% sure

Depends on the year i think the 2003-2004 where much harder to remove than the later years. One thing that many said that helped was letting the car sit in the sun and bake for a little bit. It would help soften the loctite and make it slightly easier to work with. I did not want to take a risk torquing the lever shaft and decided to use 2 wrenches (Vice grip, crescent wrench) to hold the shift lever and shift ****.Originally Posted by almost3flips

In the last picture, it looks like the sticker is crooked
It is but ehhh.....just a sticker and not for me. It is for people who have no clue where the gears are lolz Originally Posted by fobizzle

. In reality I will probably end up ripping it off and gluing it on a tool box where it belongs
Edit: Just realized I might loose the 4.756whp if I remove the sticker so now I am back to square one....
