i can tell you all about mrev2. it made a world of difference on my ride.

meh not sure about that but aluminum disipates heat pretty fast and with tonys gaskets and the isothermal one im not really worried about heat. You can do the coolant hose bypass to keep the hot coolant out of the tb so everyone has their opinion. f/i is where its at. lol
it's not about dissipating heat, its about keeping it from getting hot in the first place.
I put thermal spacers from the heads to the lower runners, the lower runners to the lower plenum, then this skunk2 is made out of a composite material and has the gaskets built in to it. so that serves as a thermal gasket between the top plenum.
btw in my intake dyno I put this spacer directly up against a motordyne 5/16. This spacer is 5/8. It make the same peak power, but dragged out the power band a tad. A spacer is a spacer guys, it just moves the upper plenum higher and creates more volume, as long as it seals and it as least 5/16 it doesn't really matter what it's made of, as long as its not disintegrating as you drive
non-rev will benefit from spacers right off the bat, they will gain a little more when a MREV2 lower is used. Revups will see a big gain with MREV2 in the mid range (it will actually lower high end.) Spacer is useless on Revup unlesss you have a non-rev/mrev2 lower.

a spacer is a spacer... an educated Z guy did a bench flow test on most of the ones available a number of years ago and found they all did roughly the same. Rob's comment about the "tad" increase makes sense, but not enough to justify any difference in cost.
Now the heat distribution is a completely different topic. The iso thermal spacers are good and help slow the heat up of the intake plenum in general. One that is made from a completely different non metal material is taking it a step further in keeping it cooler which in turn means the air inside won't heat up as bad.

Been lovin my mrev2 since I put it on 3 or 4 weeks ago. Definitely feel like I need to hit the Osiris now, but it's been a huge improvement. Got the sound back from my exhaust too! I held off on the spacer for now but it's on the still on the list, bushing took priority. Now if only I can find the time to replace all those bushings.
^ I'm thinking about getting Osiris soon too. We should get some ppl together that want to tune and have a tuning day or something.

thinking i may need a tune, i've done exhaust, intake, soon to be spacer, and plugs all here within the past few months...probably will pick up a grounding kit here in a few days as well *referring to dyno
