Gasket cover replace

I apologized if this question has been addressed somewhere previously but I think my car needs a gasket cover/trim replaced. I noticed that once parked after driving, there's an oil burning smell. There was a slight oil leak (can see a few oil drops on the ground) around a certain gasket area and after tightening several nuts, it helped the seal and prevent the oil burning smell. However, the smell is now back and I'm looking for someone or if anyone knows of where I can get the gasket replaced at a reasonable cost. Please let me know. Thanks a lot!

The car is '03 with 70K miles.

I got a leak too, BUT the fix is not easy, but it is not leaking on the ground, but the spark plug cavities have seals and while pulling a plug oil ran into the plug hole. I checked on new seals for this problem, guess what-not sold! "You have to buy two new cam covers" Not really the answer I had hoped for. Hope someone knows of a fix for this, I have to check, no way am I buying new covers!

What exactly did you tighten? Was it the oil pan gasket?

I tightened the nuts (about maybe 8 total, but only able to get to 6) that is visible after removing the plastic infiniti engine cover. I think these nuts compress the gasket as they are tightened. Sorry I'm not clear. Thanks!

Check with Kustomz Unlimited in Garland or GS Motorsports in Irving to fully diagnose the problem. Both shops are close friends of mine and are honest and will take care of you.

No I never touched the nuts, just going to pull the covers and replace the gasket, you never get that lucky. On mine I need the plug seals, but may have to replace the cam covers to get them.

OK thanks Will. I will contact them when I get a chance. If they ask, I'll say you referred me.

i have a oil slick on my driver side axle next to the wheel. its all oily and you can smell it after you drive it but the other side doesnt, is this due to the gasket or something else. its at crest right now getting looked at, i hope they dont give me the wrap around because its still under warranty
