I'm not goin in... My boss gave me the option.. He said he can't make me come in and I don't get in trouble if I don't.. I work half an hour away so I told him hell no.. 3 sales reps that live close by went in and they said the roads are terribad.
The roads are, in fact, terribad. The G was NOT able to cut it (especially with a tire that is nearing the end of its life).
My buddy with a 4runner had to give me a ride to work and even he was slipping some (and he lived in PA before moving back here).

Yea, this morning around 8am wasn't too bad when most of the stuff on the top of the roads was still soft. When I went back out at about 10:30 it was a disaster, I had to have 4wd on or I wasn't going anywhere. Made it out a few times today, no fear here
Drew - Now is the perfect opportunity to REALLY learn how to drive
. Find a big parking lot and purposefully lose control. I'm not saying go crazy, but if you get familiar with how your car reacts when it's losing control, you'll learn how to regain control. Step 1 is take your foot out of the throttle. That's all VDC does, and I am 100% confident I'm smarter than VDC. I know that sounds cocky as hell, but I've driven in the ice/snow every chance I've gotten with every vehicle I've owned just so I knew how the car felt when it was starting to lose it.

Drew - Go to any of the parking lots around here man. There are plenty of em. Just make sure it's not overly visible from a main road - you don't want a cop to harass you.
Definitely a good time to learn though - it's better to learn when you are in a safe environment than to learn when you are about to slam into another car/curb/slide out into an intersection etc.

I didn't drive mine, but I did go out (in a 4Runner). It's definitely bad and there was a lot of slipping to be had. My buddy and I had zero problems doing 360's in the parking lot in his 4Runner...it would have been crazy in the G. Our tires are not designed for ice, plain and simple.
Yea, it really doesn't matter. Our low-profile tires are meant for more "normal" driving conditions. In fact, my last set of tires came with a warning sheet explicitly stating that they should NEVER be used in icy/snowy conditions lol.
