did you strip them? i would spray them liberally with PB Blaster and let it sit for a while. if that doesnt work, get a gator grip socket. if that doesnt work, drill it out (i doubt it will come this far)

Are you sure they are bolts that are supposed to come out or are they studs that are supposed to stay. I thought the stock y pipe had studs

Can you post pics? I tried put an aftermarket y pipe on my G and had to readjust due to studs and what not. I remember there was an issue with all that. I could very well be wrong, but I swore there was a stud situation and you don't need/want to replace those. Just not worth the effort.

Should be cheap to remove the bolt, but that does look like a stud. Just pulled up a pic of my exhaust and I'm almost positive that's a stud. Either way, a shop can help. Not sure what they would charge for install. And yes you could drive without that stuff. If you get pulled over for noise pollution, just tell the cop you are on your way to the shop

ok everyone i have ANOTHER ISSUE!!!! and those studs are still stuck there!!!! lol so i said screwed it and drove to a muffler shop well i get there and they lift my car i didnt even get to tell the guy about the studs becuase he starts putting the mufflers on puts the first one up and it fits ok, then he attempts to put the second one on....(passengers side muffle)

and it doesnt fit there is this black box that does not give it the cleance... hes a pic

this black box does not let the muffler set well at all. anyone know what is up.

another thing the place i took it to sucks ***** after he said it doesnt fit i was like damn he kept saying i have the wrong exhaust, i was like it cant be there are laot of G35s witht his exhaust, he never listened to me, so he walked off and i called tony to see if he knew anything, and while i was talking to him and under the car, the guy starts lowering the car i was liek what the hell so i walked out of the garage and got off the phone with tony, then he reverses the car out then and hands me the keys and walks away i was like damn i didnt even get to tell him about the studs i needed off lol

anyone know about this black box please tell me how to take care of this

on a good note i will be borrowing my g/fs sister's saab 9-3 turbo lol
