Looking for a G35 Coupe! Need advise!
So im looking for a G35 Coupe 6mt. What are some common problems with them or just things to know? I currently own a 3000gt and will be keeping it. Was looking for a Vr4 but decided to go with a G35 instead. If anyone on the forums is selling one let me know ill check it out!! But im picky! lol! Also when are some get togethers? Id like to show up and check out the cars!

what year you looking for? there's a palce in addison/carrollton that has one for sale, looks like it's in great condition. i dunno about tranny though..

and some interior rattles. I deleted all the big ones now time to find the small rattles.

Thanks for the reply guys! Well im very picky but im looking for a 04-06 g35 coupe 6mt black with black interior. I believe all 6mts are 6 speed correct? I want something in great condition not something i have to dump a few grand into.
I see the car has been debadged.. That would make me curious to know if any engine modifications have been done and then put back to stock..
Just what would be on my mind personally.. We see cars on here modded and "de-modded" to get ready for sale all day long, knowing the engines have been run harder than normal.
The exterior of the car could have been kept pristine, which most of our cars are, but the engine could have been dogged and you'd never know.. Also w/ 75k miles, you don't know how many of those miles it could have been boosted if it indeed was..
Just my .02.. It could be a GREAT car. I'd definitely test drive it if this is the price range you're looking for, and don't mind the mileage...
I got my 04 in 2006 w/ 24k miles on it.. So it is possible.. I got mine from carmax, so don't sleep on them either for G's.. Black, Silver and White are common colors, so I'm sure you'll find a great one.. It sounds like you're not in too much of a rush, so I'd say use this as your fall back, and try to find one w/ decent mileage.. The closer you get to 100k, the more you'll have to maintain the car.. Not saying cars are crap after 100k, just that they will require a little more maintenance than one at say 25 or 50k obviously.

Yeah i see where your coming from. Im not entirely in a rush at all but i am def ready to be in something other than my 3000gt! By all means i will keep my 3000 because ive had it for 7 years this year and its almost at 192k miles. Been an amazing car to me with almost no problems at all. I used to beat on it hardddd the first few years then ive calmed down! Its a little harder to find one with lower mileage but i have been looking! And 14-16k is more my price range.Thanks for input!!
Dont get that one, it was originally twin turbo and got parted out to stock. How do I know? Well, when I was looking to buy my G35 that one was for sale but, the owner. He told me I can buy it with the turbo or he can part it out. Well I guess eventually he got tired of trying to sell it, so he parted it out and looks like he traded it in. Im 98% that this is the same G35.
Well damn that sucks :/ i was going to go look at it tomorrow. I guess ill keep looking! Thanks for the heads up though! If anyone has what im looking for let me know! Or if you see any good deals online and local before i do then let me know! Ill post if i find another one. Since yall def know these cars better than me! Thanks alot again! I wish i could make the wednesday night meets but i work overnight on Wednesdays
