Help with Transvers Link-Torn Bushings

I used to drive a Subaru WRX, and found a mechanic on NASIOC who was willing to work on that car (far less than the dealership), and I am looking to find the same now for my G35 Coupe.

I was told I need to replace both Transvers Link? and have Torn Bushings...

If there is someone out there that could either recommend or is willing to do the work please let me know.

Thanks,
Mark

If your transverse link bushing is torn you need to either have the old ones drilled out or replace the lower control arm (aka lower transverse link). I replaced the whole arm on my G35. Labor for it at a regular shop is like 3-4 hrs depending on the shop or maybe one of these local guys would be up for it (as mentioned above). Autopartswarehouse.com sells G35 lower control arms for like $140. He will also need an alignment after the arm is installed. Compression rod bushings are different from transverse link bushing.

Just about all the bushings on the front end can be pushed out with a press. No need to drill anything out. The translink or lower control arm inner bushings take about an hr for both sides if there are no snags. Whiteline bushings are about 60 bucks for both sides and are alot better than the oem. The oem bushings will just split once again

correct with what stephen Said. Translink bushings can all be pressed out. I have a 12 ton shop press that I Will be using to press them out with. Working on creating the correct size socket to press them out with.

Interesting, the nissan techs told me that the inner bushings needed to be drilled out. I thought they might be full of it but whatever. I have never been a fan of any kind of polyurethane bushing bc they usually cause noise and vibrations. I felt the nismo motorsport hard rubber bushings were a good compromise for the transverse link ($50 for a set) but thats just my opinion.

bro this is a DFW Local g35 club..meaning Dallas/Fort Worth in Texas so thats why we were posting up. You would need to post up to local members within your area. I would help if you were closer.
