For those that didn't see it already...

left side: near top of Grand Mesa at an elevation of almost 2 miles, 25 degrees

right side: almost exactly 2 hours later at an elevation of 4,000 ft, 60 degrees

Nice. That's impressive you got out of the truck in those conditions to take a pic. I love snowy mountains... and not snowy mountains for that matter. Mountains r good.

Actually, that a really sharp pic for that altitude and temp. Some digital cameras don't do so well that high/cold. Very sharp! Your truck looks happy!

thanks... the pic on the left is my desktop pic at work... I just think it's epic...

and yea, the wind wasn't too bad and like I said, it was only 25 degrees outside. the humidity was low, so it wasn't a bone chilling cold.... plus I was only out there for a few minutes. Not like I spent 30 mins in that. I took probably 30 pics pretty quick. I need to put together the series I took for the purpose of a panoramic shot

So, because of my curious nature and the fact that the camera I was shooting with didn't have GeoLoc on it, I went searching. And thanks to the wonderful features of Google Maps, I can confirm that the GPS location of that shot was 39.042064,-107.986348. The two street signs were the confirmation. And the mailbox in the street view was NOT there haha... perhaps I just couldn't see it haha
