DFW G Club Tuning Interest Thread
talked to Steve, going to try to meet up with him monday.
we are setting up the prelim tune date the weekend of august 27th. I'll be creating a new thread after the deposit is delivered and the software is ordered.
almost3flips, I suggest taking a road trip this weekend.

Sweeeeeeeetness! I'm glad that this finally got back on track again. That's the week that I start classes, so it will be nice to have something to look forward to that weekend.
He can't extend it for me? I was one of the first deposits so surely he could make an extension on the time frame...im at seven hundred miles and not sure how long it takes for a new block to clear and get swapped and everything
wow, I just went on youtube and typed steve kan and found out there is over 8 pages of videos with him in it... mostly cars he has tuned.

I dropped off the money with Steve today, he has the call in to uprev to get the software ordered. He had to send in a form to become a tuner through them so we are just waiting to hear back from uprev at this point.
as I said before the scheduled tune date is 8/27(28) right now. I will be creating another thread in the events section to get everything organized.
I switched out my hi-flow cats with the ART pipes today and did a pre-post dyno. Made 4-5 hp so I can't complain, not nearly the difference I was hoping for but none of my mods ever are. He played around with my tuning software a bit and in 20 minutes or so got me another 8 hp... he makes it looks so easy, especially considering he has never used this before. there are a couple of things we need to figure out, issues probably just locally related to me and my tuning license, but nothing serious. he made the comment that this software is easy to use and he can likely crank out tunes in less than an hour, where he would used to have to spend two.

nah they fit fine for me, just have to remove the head shield stud on the driver side. only problems I had was with fitting them to my bassani exhaust, not having any flex in my Y (x pipe) they didn't fit as well as my HiFlow Cats did so I had to really work to get them to line up.

Wondering if there are any things we should do to prepare for the tune? I thought about running seafoam through and changing the spark plugs. I'm at a little over 55k, and I found out plugs should be good through 100k though.
