First Track experience tonight

Well i finally decided to stop procrastinating and wondering what my G would run, i took a trip up to New England Dragway tonight.. Very cold out like 46 degrees.(damn new englend weather i hate it lol) not too sure about launching this car and my times are evident that theres much improvement to be made(you can see i got better each time lol).. anyways i was happy with my results considering.... i have the slips and the runs of the night are as follows

Run 1 Run 2 Run 3 Run 4

60ft 2.54 2.48 2.44 2.32
1/4et 14.75 14.64 14.52 14.33
1/4mph 97.2 98.5 99.1 99.8

sorry for the weird post of times easiest way for me to show i guess lol but anyways i was expecting a best run of anywhere from 14.2-14.4 and was dead smack in the middle..with 14.3. now what im happy about is the fact i ran 14.3 with a horrible 2.3 60ft. some practice and ill get this down to 2.0-2.1s and i might possibly be looking at 13's . my only mod is Injen CAI.
Opinions greatly appreciated on launch techniques on factory 18's/tires. thanks everyone
-Adam

14.33 is good for first time out!!

You should cherish the 46 degree temperature......your VQ does!

I would experiment with a 2.5k-3k slip clutch launch and i also found that lifting 50% off the gas between shifts helps your trap.

Yes i am 6MT.. and i was experimenting with different launch rpms and i realize now that the higher i launched at the better my time was.. i just felt like i was spinning more. I tried slipping the clutch but i think i just go too excited and just hit the gas to hard everytime lol. Good news is im back in love with this car and cant wait to buy some mods this winter and come out in the spring with a sick car. lol. I think i want to keep it N/A and go as low as i can. So im thinking of the following mods...( done some research but not exactly sure what brands are best )
1. Complete exhaust Headers/Y pipe/HFC/and cat back
2. Plenum and spacer
3. Rear 3.94 gears i think lol
4. Pulleys
5. umm basically every N/A mod i can do for performance i forgot lol
I think with these mods i should be able to pull a mid to low 13. Depending how low i can get it N/A ill leave it like that but im pretty sure i'll only be satisfied for a few months and want to turbo/supercharge it.
For looks:
6. 19" NKB Elite 8 deep dish chrome wheels(possible D/Rs but i dont want to lose longevity of the tires and daily driving performance)
7. 1-2" lowering kit depending on wheels
8. smoked taillights
9. Painted rear bumper where the exhaust is(black)

someone wanna give me $10k for all this please? lol
thanks guys
-Adam
