Talking 1/8th drag beat a 6mt 350z

i don't know what happened but last night I went to the strip with my buddies they both have rsx type-s and some guy in a 06 6mt 350z asks me if he wants to pair up he had intake and thats about it and im completely stock i told him i was auto and he thought i had work done so i should him under the hood as he showed me too when we line up from 1 to 2 i pulled on him by a car then in third he caught up to half and we stayed like that. He had a faster reaction time my et on the 1/8th was 9.69 and his was 9.81 he said he didnt mess up on any of the shifts that my car was a freak and we ran it two more times the second time he missed a gear and the third time i beat him by a car.

1/8 mile... 350Z vs G35 is all a drivers race.

The most important part of a 1/4 mile is its 1/8 mile; thats where the driver has the most impact on the outcome. After that, its all the car, assuming the person knows how to do 1 extra shift.

This is assuming 2 cars that are very similar though, like the Z & G.

Nice run!

Who cares what everyone says. Some will even say that G35's could take an M3. Point being, don't believe everyone.

A G35 is similar to the Z in performance, with the Z having the slight advantage due to its weight. Usually its still a drivers race, assuming they are both stock or equally modded.
But if both drivers are equally experienced, with everything else being fair, he should take you. But not by much.

Good job!

+1, difference between the Z and the G is speeds above 80 mph.
