Lightbulb 1/8mi for 07G

Well, the local track opened up after completely redoing their racing surface to complete concrete. So it was definately not hooking up off the line due to the lack off good rubber. anyways i ran 6 times and my best time was my first time( i went right after a tubbed out car and was able to launch on the rubber he just laid down.)

60ft............2.15
330ft..........6.02
594ft ET......8.5
1/8Mi ET.....9.14
1/8Mi MPH.79.07

my average times were 9.2@78 other than my first best one.
if i would of had some sticky tires on the back to where I could of completely brake torqued it and not spun, times would of gone down to 8.9 or so. I was only able to torque stall it to about 1500 and it still was getting some spin. the couple of times i tried to stall it higher than 2000 times and 60ft went down badly.

Those are pretty good numbers!

Wish I knew more about the track and condition though.

79 MPH trap speed definately sounds nice.

Depending on which track your in, you should definately break into those 8's stock.

9.14 is about 14.1 in the 1/4 mile with your trap speed at about 100mph.

Good job man. There were a few gen1 cars that could pull low 9's at 79mph, but they were pretty rare. It took me quite a while to get there. So your car is no slouch.

What were the conditions? Temps? Altitude? Where is the track located? a 79mph trap, in the gen1 cars, would be good for anywhere from 100mph to 102mph, depending on the car's up-top ability. I don't know how the new HR compares up top, so I'll just assume it's about the same. Like I said before, 102mph isn't half bad.

80 degrees
sunny(then sun setting and about 70degrees-times got worse)
brand new concrete racing surface that had never been raced on before that day.

its up in some hills north of nashville, i think around 1000ft.

i think the HR's are looking to have around 15-20 more whp in the top 2000 rpm(500rpm being past the revup's limit, right?) it pulls better up top judging by a couple of runs i had with a I/E 03 coupe 6mt and a stock 06 coupe highrev 6mt.

What's the name of the track? Does it have a website? I'm just curious, to get a better idea for the conditions and altitude.

A month ago my car went 13.793@101.48mph in the quarter. I don't have the slip in front of me, but in the 1/8th, it would have been a high 8.9 trapping mid 80mph. That was at almost 90 degrees, with DA's approaching 2150 feet. I can't remember the altitude. So at the 1/8th, if the conditions are comparable, my car hypothetically would have outrun your car by less than two tenths, and less than two miles an hour. On the plus side, that puts you car in the 13.9@100mph territory on the big end, in similar conditions.

I mention all this for perspective. Consider my car when I pulled that time: stillen airbox, ztube, mrev+, headers, test pipes, exhaust, and a utec+tune. That was with everything pulled from my trunk, running on fumes, and drag radials. And a six speed. Granted, I couldn't yet do a burnout on the dr's so there was more left in the launch, but I ran what I ran.

My car, if lined up against yours, just might be marginally faster. But it would be so close as to be almost indistinguishable. But that's with all my mods, almost no fuel, drag radials, nothing in the trunk, and my getting a decent launch. You're still stock on stock rubber.

That says a lot about the new HR.

To the OP, I'd like to add something else. I already mentioned all the mods that it takes my car to come close to matching your car's stock performance. I didn't mention that my car is now loud and obnoxious, with rattles, a noisy flywheel, and lots of drivetrain vibration.

If I remember correctly, 1200ft.

Seems like heaven compared to an almost 3000 ft high LACR

Irwindale sits at an elevation of around 760'. Keep in mind though conditions can vary greatly which effects the density altitude (DA). My track is situated at 1000', but depending on the conditions, the DA might be near sea level or in the summer it might be 4,000'+.
