Went to the local 1/4mile last night...
So I went to the track last night to hopefully my best of a 12.2 @ 115mph. the temperatures were in the low 60s and the humidty was a little on the high side..about 65%.
I had a total of 4 runs. The first 2 runs, I spun all through 1st gear (launching at 3500rpms, after going through the water pit) with a 2.1 60' and ran a 12.7 and a 12.8 @ 114mph.
My 3rd run, I decided not to go through the water pit to see if this was affeciting my launch. I launched a little lower (3000rpms) and straight hooked, but bogged! This netted me a 2.0 60' and a 12.4..............at 116mph! My new best mph! I would have never imagined my 8psi, 355whp car would trap 116mph!
My last run, I launched a little higher (3500rpms) and hooked again and bogged again... resulting in a 12.6 @ 114mph.
The staging lanes closed at 10pm. I waited in line for 15 minutes to get my previous time slip...and still waited... I decided to get out of line and skip out on getting my timeslip so I could get one last run in....it was almost 10pm. I was excited becuase I was finally hooking and knew I could launch at a higher rpm and possibly beat my previous best. As soon as I pull up, I see a track official get out of his van to block off the staging lanes. He told me to turn around, as it was 10pm. I told him how I waited in line for 15mins and waisted my time and wanted to run one last time, but no can do. So I had to leave knowing I could have done much better!

DR's need a big burn out first to get them sticky. Then you need to launch and don't look back. If you hesitate you will bog. I know it's easier said than done. I can admit to that!
