Are you talking an 07 sedan?

That thing will put the smack down on your 5at Coupe. Sorry, but your a** will get eaten alive.

My dad has an 08 sedan S 5AT and he could not pull on my lightly modded 03 6MT Coupe.

However, I do agree that the HR engine is way better than the DE engine. I love driving my Dad's sedan!!

What do you consider lightly modded? Because you would need at least 20 WHP and 20 TQ throughout the power band to be in the ballpark.. maybe. I think perhaps your dad wasn't pushing it too hard, or had VDC on, or wasn't using the manumatic shift.

My 05 MT Coupe is in the shop. I'm using an 08 sedan. I just breifly ran with a buddy of mine's Audi S4 B6 (V8). It was pretty even. 3 gear was especially strong. I do appreciate my Rev-up, however the HR is more refined hands down.

No he was pushing it. He was just as suprised as I was. My G seems to be pretty strong though.

I know what you mean, but as far as refinement the HR engine is pretty sound. But don't get me wrong I love my DE engine.

Did you go to up to 140ish? I'd like to know what light mods would actually get you to 5.2, 13.7. The 07 sedan (when pushed properly) is on par with the Audi V8 S4. Like I said before, I think you need at least another 20 hp, 20 torque throughout the power band to be in the ball park with the b6 S4, and the 07 G sedan. No offense, but If I sound skeptical it's because I am.

In my 05 MT coupe, 2nd and 3rd gear do ok against the Audi, but I really have to be on my game. When going into 4rth the S4 walks away. When I had my M-Rev2, I gained about 12hp, 15 torque. I seemed to get walked worse in 4rth, as I lost some top end hp. Also in (my experience anyway) I am able to walk 03-04 DE's. Perhaps they were auto's though.

Anyway.. let me know what mods you got, cause If it gives that kind of performance I'll copy you before I get my turbo. Seriously.

BTW.. if your dad has an G35x (all wheel drive) that could explain a little drivetrain loss. But the x's are still quick.
