Horn doesn’t work, airbag light flashing. Already replaced clockspring

2007 G35 Base sedan with tech package
Hello, my horn has been broken for a few months along with a flashing airbag light. I took it to a mechanic and they wanted 600$ to replace the clockspring and so I went ahead and did it myself, but the horn still doesn’t work along with the airbag light still flashing. All other buttons work on the steering wheel. I’m going to pickup a multimeter tomorrow so I can check the actual clockspring part along with the horn relay. Horns work when I lock my car and sound the emergency alarm.

Is there something I’m missing? Everything online is pointing toward a broken clockspring, is it possibly one of the wiring harness going into the clockspring is damaged? Is there a switch or harness for the actually horn button? Or is it inside of the airbag? Any help is appreciated as the airbag light is extremely annoying

get a reader that can tell you what the airbag light is for. otherwise, we're all just guessing at this point.

Yeah, I end up doing that code is B1022 which is the Occupant Classification System (OCS). There is a recall on this part for g35 but not g35x 😐. I put in my VIN and it’s not apart of the recall call Infiniti HQ and they pretty much said the same thing. I bend the knee and went to my local Infiniti repair shop. They repaired the horn saying it was a separate issue and they had to run a wire to fix it. I didn’t question it just glad it’s fixed for $785😢. They don’t sell the part to fix the airbag anymore and if they did it would run me 5k. To clear the airbag light I read you can install a 2.2k resistor which I tried and the light remain on. I did a bit more research and there’s a device I can install from airbag360 that can clear the light and the airbag will work in an event of an accident. I bought it for $95 and waiting for it to arrive.
