Best time was 14.47 @ 94.59 MPH against the M3,
and 14.5 @ 94.57 MPH against the 350z.

Previous best time was 14.6. Car was in full trim.

No. But the Coupe's aren't faster either. Should be the same assuming you're comparing an auto vs auto, and manual vs manual.

The Sedan guys just act sarcastic when people like pghG35 say "not bad for a sedan"

stillmatic, what track was this at? Do you know the elevation of that track and the temps during that event?

I'm asking because that trap speed is low. I still managed to trap 99 MPH on a hot 90F+ day on a 1000 ft high track.

What did the M3 run?

.

The track was at Sonoma, CA - Infineon Raceway. The M3 ran a 14.2 @ 96.xx MPH, but the computer analyzes everything (RT, 60', etc) and determines the winner. Not quite sure what the elevation and temps were last night. My trap has always been below 95 MPH for the most part... My gearing is a lot shorter than stock with 3.5 FD and 235/35/19 tires, so I'm guessing that's what's preventing me from breaking the 96+ MPH barrier. I'm gonna raise the redline to 7500 and get even shorter gears on the diff. Hopefully that'll get me into 13.99.

Looks like it was 952 DA that day. Track elevation is 100 which is close to perfect. Now u times are where they should be considering ur mods but the M3 should easily go into 13s. I am not surprised though 9 our 10 M3 drivers suck a$$.

Yes they are lighter however, every 100lb yields about 0.1 seconds off of the ET time. So under 100lb wieght difference is not going to do much unless u do a 0-150mph run, then sedan might have the edge because of the weight and more importantly aerodynamics when it comes to tripple digits. But in real wolrd scenerios there is almost no difference.
