as MUCH trash as i have been talking to my peeps and as many stories my lady has heard and been a part of (me and my motorcycles) i better do well. lol
i had fluids changed yesterday (full synthetic oil) and tires rotated (even wear all around). ill emptly out the car (work stuff) and will only go to the track with about a half a tank or less of gas. (we have a 3 gallon or so gas can to bring along)

Another thing to add: Though you shouldn't burn out on the street tires, after you go around the water box, you should rev it up and dump the clutch to spin the tires for a second just to get them clean from any water or dirt.

She has seen me race before but not in the G i've had about 6 months now. i think by the 2nd or 3rd pass i may be able to get down to the low 14's. my BIGGEST concern is getting off the line without spinning the wheels a whole bunch. its fun on the street but i want some good time.

It does take practice. I'd shoot for mid 14s because the heat and humidity is going to hurt your times, especially if you're running at night when the humidity builds. The track will be slick.

lol.....like Dave said, not much SHOULD have been expected. the temp was 85 degrees and my BEST time was 15.1 at 94mph. i will post time slip when i get it scanned. my reation time was .65xx and my 60' was 2.3.

The conditions definitely weren't helping you. The density altitude that night in St. Louis was in the 2800-3000 foot range which means the conditions were sucking out about .4 seconds and 2.5mph. You're 60 foot need practice too. You should be getting low 2.2 to upper 2.1 60 foots pretty easily. Shaving .1 to .2 seconds off the 60 foot will drop ET another .1 to .25 seconds. I think the other issue is you're still pretty green at racing seeing that you overshot the stage box
Next time out, try going when it's cooler, shallow stage, launch harder, and shift as quick as possible. With some more practice and better conditions, there's no reason why you couldn't be in the 14.4@97mph range.
I'm very curious to see just how much slower these cars are in the heat because I'm constantly reading about Gs and Zs going 14.8-15.2@94mph in the heat. The warmest conditions I've run in so far are mid 70s and the car did upper 14.4s@97mph. I think I'm going to head out to the strip in a couple weeks in the dead of summer (90+ degree temps) just to see how slow the car will be
My old 96 Maxima did 14.3s@100mph just like my G does and the Maxima did upper 14.5s@96mph in 100 degree temps (4200' DA). We'll have to see what the G can do.
