Question NQQB with 4drs down the track.....

I'm going to the track for the first time with my 05 G sedan and wanted to know.....

1) VDC on or off
2) do you do a burnout before each pass
3) what is your launch technique (what rpm for STOCK car)

my car has 46k on the clock and the only mod is drop in K&N filter. my plan is to race it friday then take it and have it dynoed. from that base i will start my modding. ANY suggestions are welcomed.

I am guessing you are talking about the drag strip?

1) VDC on or off OFF
2) do you do a burnout before each pass if you are on stock tires this will not help you
3) what is your launch technique (what rpm for STOCK car) I launch hard at 3000
4) is it best to skip gears 1-3-4 or 2-3-4 why would you skip gears the taller the gear the more it would bogg you down

1) how much does it hurt times with it on?
2) ok....i was not sure but had not planned on it
3) 3k will be my goal. how much wheel spin should I expect with that launch
4) just talked to guys who drag (not G guys) and wondered what pros/cons were since i have heard them talking about using different shif techniques.

THANKS

1) VDC off
2) do not do burn out if ur on street tires (avoid the water box)
3) For start go with 2500-3000rpm and slip the clutch for a split second
4) Redline every single gear all the way.

will do for sure. we will have a video camera and digital camera with mpeg ability. ill problably post of pics saturday morning along with time slips.

so far, it lookes like we will start off racing in about 80 degree temps at 9pm ending up in the low 70's by 3am!

my goal is to get in the high 14's with the car in stock form with NO mishaps.

well it looks like the track is right at sea level which means in 70 degree temps u should easily hit low 14s with a decent 60ft time.
Good Luck, i wish i could run my car at a track like that.
