I was originally planning on just going back to the track with my car to shoot for better than 14.9.

This morning i pulled the 19s off, and took the sub, and mats out of the trunk (its empty now)

When i get to the track ill pull the spare.

BUT my parents and grandma wanna go, so they will get good vids. They are driving the 08 G35xS so we are gonna run that too and see what it does.

Local guy Steve (en4cer) is meeting up with us in the morning and his 03.5 sedan and we are gonna see what his does as well.

Should be a fun day.

Went back today. Results varied. My best time was 14.722@96mph. 60's around 2.4

I had one time of 15.8 but thats because iw as smoking my tires away from the line. Like, the whole first gear.

Couple 15.0 runs, a few in the 14.9s, and 2 in the 14.8s.

Steve (en4cer) got 14.87 his first run. After that he couldnt brake 15 all day. He has an 03.5 AT sedan with a stillen intake and HKS muffler.

The 08 dominated pretty much every turbo honda etc all day. That thing was running 14.3s pretty much every run. Hell, even my mom got it to run a 14.4 haha She did a few runs and had a shiet ton of fun.

Just my car alone got 14 runs. Then i did about 6 or 7 in the 08 G, and did one for steve in his G. It was a lot of fun!

I'm registered for autox this weekend, but I'm still looking for a good place to go drag one of these weekends

 

good runs. Get those 60's down to 2.1 and you will should see low-mid 14s.

 

might be the track. En4cer was only pulling 15.1s all day.

 

Either conditions were better or your 19s are anchors. Did you swap your OEM airbox back in too? A low 14.7 with a 2.4 60 foot means the car could potentially go 14.3-14.4 with a higher 2.1 60' which it's more than capable of.

What's the hang up off the line? Are you spinning too much or bogging? Mid 2.2 60 foots are a no-brainer with these 5ATs.

 

I did a lot of spinning.

I just checked. My 60' time was 2.3.

 

sounds like bad track prep. What kind of tires were you running? Car has the potential for low 14s you just need to hookup at the line.

 

Cooper CS4 All seasons on my stock 17s. Terrible tires from the used car lot..
