Thats true, but it seems like im slacking on like 20whp against him. Both cars rated at ~300bhp. He has 270 lb/tq. Is it the power advantage or is the automatic beating me?

Your 298hp G makes about 245whp and 220wtq. His IS350 makes ~265whp/240wtq with a fatter overall powerband. The 6AT in the IS350 is geared extremely well, especially for 0-90mph acceleration and it's 0-30mph acceleration is tremendous for a V6. A G like yours is a solid 14.1@100mph in good hands. A stock IS350 is a solid 13.6@103mph car in good hands. It's a big difference.

Try not launching it at 2500. Try at like 1500 next time.

Just an idea. Also, did you say you were keeping it in D the whole time?

It was in manual both times. I have some apps on my Ipod that read 0-60 reaction time and all that good stuff. I have figured that I just need to launch the car better. I have some good 0-60 times now I just need to get back to track.
