First time at the track, in my ISF

So tonight was my first time ever drag racing at a track. I was in my 08 IS-F with a Joe Z intake tube (its the equivalent of a Z tube it keeps the stock airbox), Joe Z exhaust, and an AFE filter. I had a 1/4 tank of gas (az 91 octane) and I was on 255/35/19 Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires in the rear. The spare tire/jack/tools were removed for the runs. Everything else was left as is. I was in manual shifting mode with sport mode, traction and VSC were off via long button press not the pedal dance.

Track was speedworld motorplex in AZ, Elevation 1470 Weather conditions at the time was Temp 65.7F with 50% Humidity and pressure 29.87 in. DA was 2447 ft

My best time of the night was 12.8873@112.56 with a 2.12 60ft time. Here are the time slips from my 3 best runs, yes I know my RT was off on my best run but I was by myself . Any comments/suggestions etc?

Good times for your first time at the track with it!

Any other plans to get it into lower 12s?

Wider stickier rubber is needed I couldn't get traction in 1st for the life of me. I couldn't launch over 1500 without my tires breaking loose. A guy with the same mods as me but with DR's hit 12.2@117 but his was on a different track.

As far as more power, there arent many mods out there, headers coming out soon, but they are like 1700 + install requires the removal of the engine, and it gets rid of the cats which means emissions time will be a pain. (the car has 4 cats, 2 integrated into the headers and 2 in the exhaust, but my aftermarket exhaust got rid of the 2nd two). There is a supercharger in development but that will probably take a while.

Yea drag radials will make a huge difference!

$1700 is kinda of crazy for headers, and unfortunately the same deal Gs run into with the engine removal!

A supercharger on the UR would be putting down like 600hp with low PSI. That will be a deadly fast car with some FI.

ISF is so bad ***.

The only problem with the SC is the 11.8:1 compression ratio doesn't make for a very boost friendly engine.

Not quite sure on the IS's havent really looked into them but I know some are pretty quick. Here is a cool little spreadsheet made by a guy on the lexus forums with some of the guys who were racing it lists times/mods for ISF's and IS350's
