I went to the track this weekend and I was upset at myself because my best time was 15.00 at 94.07 miles. I have a stock G sedan with coupe rims and I was reading online stock G35 sould be running high 14's. Is this normal or am I just gettting upset for no reason?

track condition?
are you any good?
bad lines?
who's lying to you online?
who's not?
etc etc etc

I have AT running on brand new bridgestones z rated tires, been racing for about 3 years now. Track was super clean 62 degrees out, my 60 time was 2.1 seconds! And motor trend says 14.7 1/4 times!

 

Try getting a grounding kit that should put you in the high 14s.

Where you holding the brake and gas at the same time at the light?

Was VDC off? How many miles on your car.

Also I see the elevation of Glendale is 1k feet. What track where you at? Might want to calculate the DA.

 

VDC was off and I was hold gas and brake at the same time. I was launching at about 3 grand. I have 110k on the motor. Oil just changed tranny fluid just changed.

 

I was at speedworld it is in Whitman arizona and it is around 1300 above sea level.

Remember this is just calculations so it might not be dead on.

I used Sunday the 12th when it said it was 62 out. You might want to redo the calculations with the exact time you were out there.


Everything seems 100% normal. Stock is 14.7 you did it a bit quicker.

Really? So my Laguna Seca lap time will be slower than my Nurburgring one?

 

Posting up your full time slip will also be very helpful and allow others to offer more accurate input.
