Question Going to the track need advice

Hello everyone I have read a lot about this but no actual thread says anything normal about this what to do what not to. I'm going to the track with a few friends it's my first time Drag Racing. My car is stock except the Z-tube and filter. Here are my questions

1. What RPM should I launch the car it's a 6MT?

2. Should I put the rear tire air pressure down and how much? (stock 19's with V12 Hankooks.

3. What should I take out of the car? (spare, junk in the trunk...)

4. When is the best RPM to shift at?

5. Where should I put my REV light on?

6. Anything that comes to mind that would help me go faster?

I'm not planning on whooping on people or anything I just want to see what my car can do before I get actual mods to compare just give me some ideas for the future. Cars I'm going with
08 GTI APR Stage one tune DSG tran
06 S55 With a tune making about 550HP and almost 600TQ
05 M3 Comp package stock except intake and exhaust 6MT
07 S2000 bone stock
08 M6 intake might come not sure yet
And last but not least 07 Z06 with a few mods pushing 600WHP with slicks.

Thank you all!!!!!!!!!!!

1. If your new and not used to launching, try to launch around 2500-3000 to get a feel for the track and your tires. As you get a feel for the track, you will be able to gauge your launches based on how much traction your tires will give and how much traction you get at launch. Every track is different. Don't worry about doing a burnout. Simply go around the waterbox. Don't dump the clutch! See my video.

2. Before doing any adjustments, make sure you have a good pressure gauge and portable air compressor just in case you take out too much air. I usually start out at 30psi on stock 19's and adjust accordingly. Please research tire pressure hot vs cold.

3. Take out all non essential gear. The spare and tools are all dead weight.

4. I usually get better trap speeds shifting right before the rev limiter or 7200 rpm. I've tried many different combination's and that's what works for me.

5. I don't even use the rev light. Your better off just looking at the tach.

6. The key is the first 60 ft. Without a good launch, you have nothing. Avoid wheelspin as much as possible. If your spinning, you ain't going nowhere. On street tires for a beginner, you 60ft's should be around 2.2. Anything slower than that is horrible. Leave at the last yellow light. Research on how to pre-load the drivetrain by using the e-brake off the line. Shift like a madman. I've seen many G and Z drivers at the track who just don't know how to shift and simply take their time shifting. Get in the groove. That's the stickiest part of the track. If you stage after someone who had slicks, try to launch over their tire tracks. You'll see the launch marks when you get up to the staging area.

7. See my youtube channel in the link below. I have many videos from inside the cabin. In some, the tach is visible.

8. Post videos so that we can help you improve.

Here's a video of me with a spacer and exhaust on the stock tune. The spacer does nothing for the REVUP without the MREV2 btw.

Of all those cars, the only one you have a chance with is the S2000. My friend has raced many AP1's and AP2's with bolt-ons and usually takes them with his stock REVUP. See my 2010 video.

Pretty much what he said. Not sure why I'm emphasizing this but don't do a burnout prior to staging. Like he said, go around the water box. You won't gain any traction by heating up your radial tires.

With slicks the Z06 hits mid 9's easy bro lol and I will be up against the S2000 and the M6 is up against the Z06 which we all know he doesn't have a chance.

All i can add is practice launching and get comfortable shifting gears quickly. Like he said take out unnecessary dead weight. And just have fun
