First time at track! NEED HELP
Hey, check out the Florida G35 Club Forum here on G35driver.com. We all head to Orlando Speedway very frequently.
14.4 is a good time for an automatic with as few mods as you have on that track.
My best time (heavily modded NA) was 14.214 at 99.02 mph in a 6MT coupe.

also ppl were laughing at the guy with the WRX because he let a RWD lower horsepower and torque vehicle launch on him out of the hole so bad. his excuse was I don't want to spool it up because I am scared. lol

Yep, a 14.4 for a 5AT, especially if this was a "slow" 2003 sedan, is really pretty good and above average. What were your traps or 60 foots like? My 03 5AT sedan has done 14.4-14.5@97mph with a Z-pipe in 70 degree weather. My 60 foots are in the low 2.2s. I hope to get out in this cooler Fall air and maybe run some 14.2s.
You mentioned your reaction time was better which does play a significant roll in who gets to the finish line first (you knew this though). You outreacted him be over .5 seconds which explains why you beat him to the finish. On the street, people would think you had the faster car
Nothing is more enjoyable than beating quicker cars at the track only because you outreact them. The slip shows I have the slower car, but I still got to the finish line first

im in orlando, with a 5AT sedan, 14.2s stock, my best advice for the car is test pipes and a plenum spacer, both of those seemed to unleash a little more power, i have the greddy evo2 exhaust which seems to help a bit but is a little raspy with testpipes,
a hundred shot will get you mid to high 12s also with some traction....
ps try leaving the auto in 3rd gear, dont press any gas, hold the brake, then floor the car when you let off the gas,
try this method rather than power braking it, i seem to get better 60s all day using this method, now with my mods though i just spin....
i ordered my 26X8.5X15 yest. they will be here tuesday. no more spinning
