350Z and G35 clutch comparison?

Gotta question. I have a 2003.5 G35 coupe with the 6MT. I sat in a 2006 350Z 6MT at the dealership and the clutch feels totally different. My clutch is very firm to push in, and has been since I have driven it. It also feels like there is a whole lot of travel between the fully disengaged and fully engaged.

The 350Z clutch feels just like any other car I have sat in and used a clutch (new Civic SI, 1999 BMW M3, 89 BMW 3.25, 2006 Tibi to name a few). There is not much travel at all and goes in super easy.

So is the G clutch different from the Z or have they had any revisions at all? I am the 2nd owner of my car and the former owner never mentioned having installed any type of aftermarket component and when I got the car it was 100% stock to my knowledge. This clutch is just totally different and I must know if it is just my car, if everyone has this, or if anyone can help me out with ideas here.

TIA!

For 05-06 G35's (compared to 03-04), there was a change in the clutch parts, most notably the clutch pedal requiring much less pressure/force to step on. Would imagine the 350z had a similar change.

Cool. I wonder why the G was so different at the time?
