radiator upgraded/tranny fluid?

radiator upgraded/tranny fluid?

i recently changed my oem radiator to a pwr radiator (i lost alot of tranny fluid due to the change) now that my radiator is much bigger will i need more tranny fluid? how many quarts is needed total for a tranny change? just want to know how much tranny fluid i need to add? as of now my g sedan would slip in gear.. any advise would be great?

You will feel hesitation/slippage being only 1 qt. down with these Jatco's especially on hills etc that uncover the fluid pickup. They have a very shallow pan. I would think you lost at least 1 qt. out of the heat exchanger and piping. I would not drive the car again until you get a qt. of Nissan Matic-J in there. Don't use anything else.

After that, drive it a bit to get it warmed up, then check level again. Top off as needed. You may need another qt, but I would not add more than 2 since you don't want to overfill either. If you want to do a little maintenance and only drain and fill the pan, you will need about 3 qts. For a complete fluid exchange including the convertor, its about 12 qts. Best to have the dealer do it. Don't take it to a Kwik-Lube for anything like that.
