07 vs 06 manual tranny

Hey guys, anyone know if the 07 sedan 6MT transmission is at all different from the previous generations? after driving it, i coudl definitely tell the clutch feel was different, but curious if they actually did anythign with the internals of the tranny. . .perhaps fixing the infamous syncro issues the previous generation 6mt's had. thanks

I believe the ratios are slightly different, but I can report that they have not fixed the synchros for 07 and am personally on tranny number 2 with the same problem.

Yes, the ratios changed a little. I'm not sure that they actually "fixed" anything. Unfortunately, Nissan seems really bad at transmissions. LOL I personally think the shifts are smoother. Still notchy but not as bad as our '05 to me.

Accordfreak, so they installed the #009 tranny to ur 06? did they inform you it was a revised one compared to your last one? reason i asked the original question was because in my journey to get a new tranny here at the ONLY infiniti dealership in Utah, tech#1 did some test runs, identified the "whistling" sound and "air leaking" sound when the accelerator is pressed in gear, and he had called INfiniti and they said give me a new tranny. Tech #2 came by a week later, he said he ran some tests, and identified the "whistling/air leaking" sound to my rear differential, and they replaced that. That didnt' fix it at all. But he told me that the tranny for all the 6MT's and also the new 2007 sedan, has been left unchanged, and i wanted to verify this with you guys or anyone. apparently, he seems full of sh*t. only problem now is, those issues i had were apparent during the colder weather, now its nice and hot here in salt lake city, and those sounds are not coming up. . .though, my grinding in 5th gear is now more frequent than ever!!! so, since i still have plenty of warranty left, i'm goign to return in the winter, with those sounds and my grinding (probably will get worse by than) and continue my journey to get a new REVISED tranny. i'll be patient for now i guess. . .thanks for the info everyone so far!
