Is it necessary to do trans. flush at 30k mile?

There are two service packages provided from my local nissan dealer. The premium service has transmission flush and other goodies, which is about $150 more. I called infiniti, they said the transmission flush is not needed until 60k miles.

I would do the ATF flush at 30K especially if you plan on keeping the car.

if it's automatic..def. do it @ 30k...if it's manual, it can wait until 60k.

Regular maintenance trumps a flush at higher mileages any day IMO. And it's more economical. I change all fluids at 20-25k (oil/filter at 5K) and only flush brake fluid and coolant.
But it's your money, and dealerships love to do flu$he$.

Actualy automatic trans fluid last longer then manual transmission fluid. manual transmission fluid is very simular to oil, some people even use dyno oil..

If you check your maintenance booklet, it should show the flush at 30,000, thats along with radiator and injector cleaning.

I had my trans done at 29k, and the radiator flush as well........

Also, by 30K mi. all the fluids should be or should have been changed/flushed, filters all replaced, injectors and throtly body cleaned.

30k minimum service is already $308. Trans flush, throttle body, battery service and balance tires will add another $235.80. That's going to cost more than $500, how did people get them done under $300?

This is How:

Screw the battery service. At 4-5 Years just buy a new one, Screw the tire balancing because unless your steering wheel shakes you do not need a re-balance. If you have the Sadan you can rotate them yourself, Screw the Throttle body service Just clean it yourself, Just tell them you want the fluids and filters changed which is the most important stuff & throw a can of BG 44K in the gas which will clean your injectors.

The owner's manual and the service manual say NOTHING about flushing the transmission fluid, only regular changes.

Only exception is if there was an internal repair, then the transmission along with the transmission cooler (bottom of the radiator) should be flushed of any particles, etc.
Injector cleaning at 30K? not in the manual either.

I stand corrected, it wasn't in the manuals, it was in the routine service notices I received from my dealership.

Although it may have been listed in the I35 I had prior to the coupe. Also, I think the manual says replace fluids rather than "flush"
