Who makes built transmissions?

Is there anyone that makes built transmissions with higher quality synchros and shift forks? On some cars the syncros are made out of carbon fiber and the shift fork is made out of stainless steel and a better Input for higher HP.

My fifth gear syncro is going out

Did you ask this over on My350Z?

EDIT: I just did a look on google, and I came up with nothing. I ask shop's like
Forged, function:TUNED, Performance Factory, GTM, etc, if they know any good transmission shops.

Went by a local Infiniti dealer and got the service manager to test drive the car and he could not reproduce the problem. I drove it after home and I reproduced the problem.

He told me the drivetrain warranty is 60 or 70k miles as long as the car is not wrecked no matter how many owners. Does anyone know if this is true? If it is true I can wait until it gets worse and have him test drive it again.

Yes it would. An aftermarket clutch would also void the warranty. I asked because I plan on turbocharging it.

Mine needs a clutch since it's the original and I am going to put in a stock one and get me a replacement transmission when 5th gear gets worse.

I have been looking for the same thing...built 6 speed. I am on my 350.com
and never saw anything about one. Searched Google to DEATH...can't
find a thing...e-mailed several places but no one has offered anything.
Even thought of a swap to something stronger and just can't find anyone
who has even done that. Jerermy (Performance Factory) in FL. puts
Turbo 400's in for drag racing, and NO, I don't want an Automatic
so maybe one of us should contact him as if he can get a 400 in one
(they are huge) he must have an adapter plate or rewelds the bellhousing
for it to get in the Z. I would take a Tremec (American) 6 speed and
put one in as I don't think anyone has stronger gears or parts for the Z transmission. Jeremy might be the answer. I have JUST got done searching for 2 days
on this. Even looked at the Aussie Hollinger sequential..but fell over dead at the
$20,000. price. Any ideas???? Glad I am not the only one looking

Built engine with APS TT with alot of APS Extreme parts.

T-56 (Tremec 6spd.)seems like it would be a good canidate to swap in. They are behind Corvettes, Camaros, and Vipers - so you know they could easily handle the power from our cars. I don't know what there dimensions are but they aren't very big.
