need help w/ clutch b4 going to dealership PLZ!

i've had my 05 6mt sedan for 1 1/2 years now. As many know, those years have a high engagement point. All day today, the clutch seems to be "stuck" down to the floor. The engagement point now; it doesn't come up high like it use to, AND now, I can barely get into 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and REVERSE! WTF?! Its like i have to force it in hoping it'll go in. i know i didn't do anything wrong. It Grinds like a B*tch now!

Is it my syncros? or is it just the assmebly? or the short shifter i installed? or does the whole transmission need to be replaced. Someone said that if the brake fluid is low, the clutch will stick to the floor like that, but thats STUPID. brake fluid and clutch has no affiliation.

HELP! PLEASE! NEED HELP! I hope they dont give me bs about the lowering of the car.

Check the CLUTCH FLUID level. The reservoir is located next to the brake master cylinder reservoir. Whoever told you to check the brake fluid was partially right. The clutch hydraulic systems uses DOT 3 brake fluid. If it's low, check under the car for leaks.

just checked it, and all the fluids are at max. Also, for some reason, the clutch isn't stuck to the floor anymore. its back to its high engagement point but still a little rough.

u guys think it was because it was really hot and i was stuck in stop and go traffic for 35 mins and the AC on the whole time?

Guys try changing your clutch fluid!! If it's brown and dirty it time to change. should be nice and clear. there is a diy somewhere on this site for that I think search for it.

Could be flushing the fluid would help, but I suspect it's the clutch master cylinder. It'll get really bad if it's hot, or you're getting on it a bit. Well known problem at Infiniti. I'd just take it in and have them replace it. (And get a new nice G37 sedan loaner!)
