Never really experienced that - try some aftermarket pedals like the Autovation ones with the little black rubber inserts. I just installed them and they work great with all kinds of shoes.

 

I've been aware of this issue on my last three cars so what I do is install
pedals that are designed to eliminate this issue. Pedals that would hurt
your feet if you were barefooted. The set on my G35 are made by RAZO
as were my last set.

the first few weeks i drove a manual (which was my G) this happened to me.... then i realized the way i was holding my foot to operate the clutch wasnt the most efficient.... what i was doing was leaving my heel MOSTLY on the floor and pivoting my ankle to operate the clutch.... when it rained my foot slipped like crazy

then after a few weeks, i realized that moving my ankle less, and moving my entire leg to operate the clutch was a better technique..... with this change, i no longer experienced the wet foot slippage on the pedal

 

i have this problem all the time when wet its hard to drive.... also have a pair of shoes 1/2" bigger than i wear and can drive with those either.. gets caught between the mat and the top. size 12 BTW. sucks!!!

 

haha ya sometimes my shoe gets stuck on the top as well, scary stuff.

thanks for all the advice guys, luckily i made it through the majority of the rainy season it seems, ill have to find some pedals i like before next fall

 

Since it rains here once in awhile, I've def noticed before. I just try to dry them off on the carpet a bit. I also have the heater on whenever it's cold, and it's almost always set on the the dash/foot (whatever it's called) mode. Seems to dry up pretty quickly.

 

When you operate the clutch, you should lift your foot entirely off the floor. It generally makes for much better feel and pedal modulation.

lol.... old topic and im sure you've probably already fixed the problem, but I have to agree with G35fromPA... The best solution would be to get some aftermarket pedals with more grip. I have the same problem on my G but thats cause pretty much the whole pedal is metal and really has nothing to grip on to when your feet r wet. Get some with more Rubber. Quite a few companies out there make pedals.
