Anyone know how to replace Clutch Interlock Switch?
Anyone know how to replace Clutch Interlock Switch?
I tried searching, but found nothing on this site.
Googled it, but found people thinking that it could be the problem to a car not starting, but no help as to how to replace/fix it. Me on the other hand, knows that it's my clutch interlock switch.
My car is currently in the shop because it was in an accident. They ghetto rigged it to start, but I will have to pay to get it towed out of the body shop -- That is something I don't want to do.
They said I can fix it in the lot, so please help.
Also, I don't know if this is the right spot to ask, so I thought I'd post it here.

Clutch Interlock Switch
The clutch interlock switch is found in the driver's side footwell of your car near the fire wall, at the bottom of the clutch pedals stroke. This switch threads into a bracket that retains the switch. The actual module is rectangular, with a black button that extends through the bracket (this is the part that the clutch pedal contacts when depressed).
You will need to loosen the lock-nut that is on the back side of the bracket and then turn the switch until it is free (like removing a screw). It is a fairly simple process, details of which can be found in the Factory Service Manual (available for download online) in the "CL.pdf" folder. I hope this info helps. Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks!

You can actually google search "G35 Factory Repair (or Service) Manual" and there should be lots of links to down load this. If you can't find it just let me know and I can try to find it and post a link. Let me know. Thanks!
