Hey all,

My 06 AWD auto transmission is shuddering and giving a jolt when direct shifting only from 2nd to 3rd gear. I brought the car in Dec '06 and it has never done this. As it's under warranty, I took it to Ray Catena Infiniti and rode with the tech and reproduced the shuddering 2 times from him.

Today they came back and told me it was normal for my car since they test drove another 05/06 and it did the same thing. I told them I am going to speak with the Service Mgr. Are they correct or pulling a fast one? I have 38k miles on the car and the dealer checked the ecu and sensors.

I just don't want this to be sign of things to come - like auto tranny failure at 100k miles. I've owned nissans since 1989 and have never had one transmission issue. Each one has given me over 200k miles - relatively little trouble free. ('89 maxima and '95 maxima).

Thanks in advance for any advice. If there's any certified techs out there, please give me your thoughts too.
