Help My AWD Handle 350+TQ!

Are the upgrades to the RWD 5AT any different than the AWD 5AT? Where should I look for AWD specific upgrades?

I'm looking at getting a trans-cooler for sure, and possibly a valve body upgrade. Any other recommendations?

Also, does anyone know if the Titan AWD transmission is swappable into the X?

You should get the valve body upgrade and cooler...not much else you can do.

What does a grounding kit have to do with upgrading my drivetrain?

many people report that shifting is much smother (on a 5AT) with a grounding kit. I wouldn't know but as i drive a 6MT but this is what I have read whilst browsing this forum.

A grounding kit is not going to help my transmission handle extra torque. I appreciate the input but grounding kits do nothing as far as upgrading drivetrain internals.

i seen some members use titan clutch packs on there 5ats plus the vaule body upgrade

tranny will hold up but its the awd gear box you have to worry about, its not permant awd but sending that much torque to the front wheels might cuase some damage to the stock set up when the awd kicks in

VB upgrade.

I haven't seen a lot of X drivers going boost.

Like ^^ ... the Gear Box is what I would be most concerned with.

maybe pull the fuse for heavy driving? thats what my plan was. if im gonna be hard on it do that...
other option (which im looking into) is tapping the system and putting my own controller in. aka i can put it to full rwd.
(pulling the fuse makes it slightly unhappy)
or drop your front axle. lol

Doesn't sound like there's much I can do except pull the AWD fuse. Where are the FI X owners? Hoping one of them will chime in.

Even pulling the fuse wont help, your always gonna have some power going to all your wheels.
