Nope, I went to a transmission shop. Definitely worth the money, no doubt.

Good to hear...I have the kit and fluid to do mine, debating whether or not to do it myself or send the VB to the Houston guys and have them do it.

Look around town, any decent transmission shop should be able to do this.

^^ Most transmission shops, unless it is a performance shop, will not do them. It is considered a high risk job normally not performed by the everyday tranny shop.

Agree, it happened to me down here in Miami. I couldn't find a shop that will agree to do it until I found a transmission performance shop. Still, installing a shift kit is an everyday task for any transmission shop, the fact that this is a performance kit "should" be irrelevant.

What did they charge-did you already have the shift kit and fluid or did they get the shift kit, the fluid and the install?

Unless it is a Nissan/Infiniti dealership they are not going to have the fluid for you.

I provided them with the kit and the fluid, they just took care of the labor. Still they told they could get the kit as well.

Any shop can get the ATF from a dealer or even from Nissan Chemicals, they just have to order it. Most of them find easier the client bring it in.

OP sorry for hacking your thread.... just trying to help.

I got a very good hook up, but the customary charge is between $300 to $400.
