03AT Changing Final Drive

Hi I would like to change my final drive to that of a 07-08 g35 sedan (3.7)

Anyway I have the vLSD. I am looking for a pumpkin and everything from salvage yards across the United States. Do I want the locking or non locking carrier?

Dan

Whats the difference between locking and non locking

front (3.692 ratio)
rear, AWD (3.692 ratio)
rear, RWD, 4 Dr (Sdn, 3.692 ratio), locking, MT
rear, RWD, 4 Dr (Sdn, 3.692 ratio), locking, AT
rear, RWD, 4 Dr (Sdn, 3.692 ratio), non-locking
rear, RWD, 2 Dr (Cpe, 3.538 ratio), locking
rear, RWD, 2 Dr (Cpe, 3.538 ratio), non-locking

oem locking is a VLSD.

If you just want to change the final drive it does not matter but if you are doing a LSD at the same time you will want to make sure the new one is setup to work with the type you buy. Search is your friend here, there is tons of info.

RAS= Rear Active Steering (Rear wheels move a little) Go to youtube and do "RAS G35"

OK but RAS doesn't pertain to me... I just need to know if the stock 2007 and 2008 final drive will work in my sedan... Should I get the locking then?

The gears should work, I'm not sure if the full pumpkin is interchangeable though
